A B O U T   T H E   A R T I S T

 

Jennie Aleshire graduated from Earlham College with a degree in Photography and in Peace and Global Studies.

After graduating she started a freelance photography business; taught art in both Louisiana and Honduras; taught photography classes for a non-profit in Baton Rouge, Louisiana; and her pictures have been published by the Whitney Museum and The New York Times magazine.

Jennie spent extensive time documenting her neighborhood of Baton Rouge and Copan, Honduras; and completed a documentary about the Honduran Garifuna Community in the South Bronx.

Jennie continues in her studies at NYU and in the International Center of Photography in New York City where she is currently living and working.

 

Jennie is a documentary style photographer, available for events, headshots and documentary projects.
Her photos are available in Black and White, Color, Digital and Print.
